Gemma O’Donoghue of Petscan has been providing ultrasound and cardiology services to my practice for the last 2 years.
She has expertise in cardiology, medicine, and imaging with a special interest in cats which is a great bonus to us. Gemma’s extra studies means that she can offer a really comprehensive service to practices, including medical and therapeutic advice for more complex cases.

After assessing each animal Gemma gives the attending Vet a verbal report and outline recommendations to pass on to the clients that day and promptly provides a detailed report with images and measurements. These comprehensive reports are passed on to the client. Gemma is happy to perform fine needle aspiration and ultrasound guided biopsies with appropriate support from the practice in relation to sedation and general anaesthesia.

Gemma’s willingness to perform fine needle aspirates and ultrasound guided biopsy allows her to make a full diagnosis on complex cases in a very short period of time.

Our clients are very impressed with Gemma’s service via The Cat Hospital. It has enhanced our own offering and has improved our client relations thanks to an efficient, convenient and flexible increase in services within our own hospital.
